Roller derby fam, it’s happening again!

Junior BorderClash is back for its FIFTH year running in 2026—and we’re going bigger than ever. What kicked off in 2022 as a crazy idea to bring junior skaters together from all over the country has grown into the event on the calendar for juniors aged 8 to 17.

We’re talking fast-paced action, fierce competition, and a full-blown celebration of everything we love about derby. The weekend kicks off with a bootcamp on Day 1 (yep, we’re keeping that tradition alive), followed by two days of epic tournament play.

You’ll see teams from all corners of the country leave it all on the track. Blocks, jukes, strategy, heart…we’ve got it all. This is about more than just skating. It’s about sportsmanship, growth, confidence, and connection.

If you’ve been before, you already know the vibe. If this is your first time, get ready for something seriously special.

We’ve been sharing the love between South Australia and Victoria since the very beginning, because that’s where our founders come from. In 2022 we kicked things off in Daylesford (VIC), then headed to Mildura (VIC) in 2023, crossed the border to Gawler (SA) in 2024, GEELONG for 2025 and we’re heading to BENDIGO for 2026

This is our fifth year running, and it’s shaping up to be our biggest one yet.

About AUSRD & AUSJRD Australia Roller Derby Incorporated (AUSRD) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to bringing the national roller derby community together through inclusive, empowering, and high-quality events for both junior and adult participants.

Our mission is to create meaningful opportunities for connection, development, and celebration across all levels of the sport, from grassroots to experienced skaters, from first-time officials to seasoned bench staff.

AUSRD (Australia Roller Derby Inc) supports the adult community through national tournaments, training events, and collaborative programs that elevate the game while fostering respect, diversity, and a strong sense of belonging.

AUSJRD (Australia Junior Roller Derby Inc), our junior-focused arm, is devoted to empowering the next generation of skaters by creating safe, fun, and skill-building experiences that boost confidence, connection, and community spirit. We believe junior skaters deserve powerful pathways to grow both on and off the track and we’re here to help create them.

Together, AUSRD and AUSJRD are building a connected, inclusive, and thriving future for roller derby in Australia, one event at a time.
